Moran Towing Corporation, a leading provider of marine services, proudly announces the addition of two new tug orders bringing its total order book to eight tugs. In 2024, we anticipate the delivery of four tugs, with an additional four slated for 2025, marking significant milestones in our evolving fleet. Hulls 486 and 487 mark the latest advancements in Moran’s ongoing new build program, recognized as the largest tug fleet enhancement project in North America.

The two most recent new build tugs, both to be constructed by Master Boat Builders, underscore Moran Towing’s dedication to reliability, efficiency, and innovation in maritime operations. “We are excited to add two tugs to this series of RApport 2800’s. We are thankful for our partnership with Moran and their trust in us to build their newest tugs,” stated Garrett Rice, President, Master Boat Builders.

These tugs are poised to deliver exceptional performance across a range of Ship Assist and Escort operations. The Robert Allan, RApport 2800, design offers 80+mt of bollard pull, with a length of 92 feet and a breadth of 40 feet. Each will be equipped with Tier IV main engines to meet the latest EPA regulations.
